Children Offerings

ages 0-5th grade

NURSERY:

Birth - age 2, first floor, Sunday School wing

The Nursery is a child's first experience of the Church.  Our caregivers are screened and trained to provide a safe, happy, and nurturing environment for our youngest children.

ATRIUM:

Age 3 - Kindergarten, upstairs, Sunday School wing

The Atrium is for preschool through kindergarten, and uses the methods of Godly Play.  Godly Play was developed by an Episcopal priest, Jerome W. Berrymand, and incorporates the Montessori methods of education.  It helps our children to become more fully aware of God's presence in their lives through the use of religious words, sacred stories, silence, and liturgical practices through hands-on materials.

PRIMARY:

Grades 1 - 3, upstairs, Sunday School wing

The primary class uses the Live B.I.G. (Hear. See. and Live your Belief in God) curriculum.  This is a multimedia based curriculum.  Each class begins with a short 5 to 7 minute DVD setting forth the theme of the week.  This provides a cast of characters who will be with our children the whole year.  Monthly songs, as well as many other activities during the class help our children to build relationships with others and with God.
